The Griffin-Spalding Partners in Education (PIE) raised almost $25,000 during its 24th annual golf tournament to benefit the teachers and students of the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS). Thirty-six teams played in the tournament held at the City Park Golf Course on Friday, September 26. Proceeds from the tournament are used to fund classroom grants, field trip grants and teacher tuition reimbursement scholarships. This year’s first-place team was SRS Inc.; the second-place team was Jackson Road Elementary; and the third-place team was the Griffin Exchange Club. Read more: https://5il.co/3qh4a

Today is IT Professionals Day! Our schools and students rely on technology for everything from lesson plans to attendance. Today, let's celebrate our IT professionals who keep our computer systems running smoothly and securely. This month, all GSCS schools will help fight hunger in our community by participating in the Manna From Above Food Drive. You can help by sending canned goods to school with your students this month.
