Dear Crescent Families,
Safety is a primary focus at Crescent. We have made great strides in working with the City of Griffin to keep our walkers, car riders and bus riders safe in the afternoons. The city police department has been most helpful and they have been ticketing cars that use Crescent Road during the time when it is closed (2 p.m. to 3 p.m.)
There is an additional measure that we can take to help the dismissal transportation process. If you are picking up car riders in the afternoon, please DO NOT arrive before 2 p.m. If cars are backed up into the road before 2 p.m., those drivers could receive a ticket for improper parking.
Also, please help educate your neighbors and family members that Crescent Rd. is closed to all traffic (other than school traffic) from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Thank you for helping keep our students safe.
